Different Types of Telescopes

From the Greek tele which means far and skopein which means to see, a telescope helps us to see the remotest of objects. Whether they be 50 feet away or in another galaxy, telescopes have been around since the 1600's to aid us in Space Telescope viewing the fascinating space all around us. There are as many different telescopes as there are reasons to use them. The most common ones are mentioned here.
Parabola shaped radio antennae are called Radio Telescopes. They are built from large groups of dishes that are made of a conductive Refractor Telescope wire mesh. As of 2005, the array sizes is many times larger than the width of the Earth.
Optical Telescopes telescopes focus light mainly from the visible end of the Electromagnetic Spectrum. They can increase the size of distant objects Orion Telescope as Sky And Telescope well as their brightness. These scopes employ mirrors or certain types of lenses to gather light and focus it. A good example would be a pair Celestron Telescope of binoculars.
X-ray or Gamma-Ray telescopes have rays that go through many glasses and metals. The mirrors involved in these scopes are usually parabolic in shape. Gamma-ray scopes don't even try to focus, they use a specific code to tell them what the shadows they are looking are. These scopes are usually found orbiting the Hubble Telescope earth.
Refracting telescopes are the ones that are most common. They are usually made out of a long tube that has a piece of glass at one end and he eyepiece at the other. These were what the pirates used when looking out Hubble Space Telescope Telescope Reviews into the distance.
Reflecting telescopes were developed by Isaac Newton. Where refracting telescopes used a lens, reflecting telescopes used a mirror to capture light that was placed in the very back of the telescope. These scopes offer a bigger view and bright wide view of comets and star clusters.

Orion Mini Giant 8x56 Binocular

Orion Mini Giant 8x56 Binocular
Orion's Mini Giant binoculars gather more light than a 50mm objective but without the bulk of larger "giant" binoculars. Their ample objectives deliver distinct high-contrast views of star clusters, bright nebulas, and galaxies. The 8x56 model offers the widest field of view and a 7mm exit pupil to match that of the fully dark-adapted eye. This model is also suitable for daytime or low-light observing.

Celestron NexStar 130 SLT Computerized Telescope
The popularity of Celestron's NexStar 114 models inspired us to go bigger! Celestron is proud to introduce NexStar 130 SLT. The NexStar 130 SLT has 30% more light-gathering power than our 114mm telescope. And the 114 SLT, like the other models in the SLT Series, comes with a fully computerized hand control. The computerized hand control gives you the ability to automatically slew to any of its 4,000+ objects, including over 600 galaxies, 300 clusters and dozens of beautiful binary stars. With its pre-assembled, adjustable steel tripod, the NexStar 114 SLT can be up and ready to use in a matter of minutes. The SkyAlign alignment technology and the included StarPointer Finderscope with a red LED makes aligning a breeze.View the details of the lunar surface, the rings of Saturn, the polar ice caps on Mars, the cloud belts on Jupiter or a number of the Messier objects such as the globular cluster in Hercules (M13), or the Great Nebula in Orion (M42). Begin to explore some of the fainter Messier objects using the additional light-gathering capabilities of the 130 SLT's 5" primary mirror. Because of the Newtonian design, the mirror gives fully color-corrected views that are best suited for astronomical use. SkyAlign With Celestron's revolutionary new alignment technology, setting up and using a computerized telescope is faster and easier than ever before! Point the telescope at three bright objects in the sky and the telescope tells YOU what
